The Idea
We wanted to go beyond the typical food recipe app, where users can either upload their recipes or store a directory of their favorite meals that were taken from the app's database. For people who enjoy cooking, a food recipe app that was a little more ethnic. It has a recipe library that is updated frequently with dishes from different states and tribes in Nigeria. Additionally, the app offers an online P2P platform where users may buy and sell the ingredients for any meal they like to prepare and also kitchen utensils.
Home screen
The home screen allows users to browse through the recommended and popular recipes. Users can also search for their favorite recipes, such as using voice search, image scan search, or using the search field.

Problem Statement
Nigeria is a country with a rich culinary culture, but it's often difficult to find authentic recipes for traditional dishes. The problem is compounded by the fact that many of these recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and are not documented. As a result, it's difficult for people outside Nigeria to learn about and enjoy the country's unique cuisine. In addition, it can be challenging for people to find the ingredients they need to make traditional Nigerian dishes, especially if they relocate to another country or relocate to another state. It’s difficult getting ingredients for a meal that is not from the state you relocated to.
Solution
The KOOK food recipe app solves these problems by providing a comprehensive and accessible collection of recipes for traditional and contemporary Nigerian dishes, along with a cooking voice assistant and a peer-to-peer ingredient shopping feature. The app makes it easy for users to search for recipes based on dish names, state, voice search, image scan search. The cooking voice assistant provides real-time guidance and support, ensuring that users can prepare their favorite dishes with ease, even when their hands are busy. The peer-to-peer ingredient shopping feature allows users to purchase the ingredients they need to make their favorite dishes from local sellers in their area, making it easy to find the ingredients they need to make their favorite dishes.
Analysis
The app design includes extensive and varied features that needed to be accessible to users. There was a significant risk of overwhelming the screen, so we had to evaluate and rank every point. The most crucial details about the food in the recipe were identified through research and testing to build user scenarios.
User interface design
users with varying degrees of tech literacy and all sorts of mobile devices because it is intended for daily basic operations and has a fairly wide target audience. The application's interface is organized around simple navigation, excellent readability, a light background, and appealing graphics. The luminous and airy backdrop creates an ideal setting for the various images and visuals that may accompany the recipes. San-serif typefaces, which are clear and reliable, enable information to be scanned and read on screens of all sizes. Bright color accents draw users' attention to interactive areas and active states of the layout elements, which speeds up navigation. The search field is easily found on the top of the screen, and its functionality is clarified for users with both text prompt and search icons.

Personalization
to give people the option to customize the interface so that it matched their unique demands rather than just providing them with the product to solve their problems. This motivates designers to think of more functionality that would allow users to alter the features by their tastes.
That is what’s KOOK Recipe app features, too. At the start of the interaction, users set the goals they want to achieve such as learning how to cook, improving their cooking skills, finding recipes, and ingredients, kitchen utensils shopping, and their level of cooking. Also, their favorite meal, their state, and their tribe. So, the feed of recipes and search results will provide a personalized list, not wasting users’ time with information that doesn’t suit their tastes.

Recipe card
With realistic and distinct pictures, photography is a good technique to captivate viewers and create the necessary associations. Designers now have more options than ever to acquire high-quality photographs thanks to the development of photo stock websites, but for many projects, particularly e-commerce ones, the creative teams still shoot original content that is wholly in line with the objectives of the product. It is particularly evident in industries related to daily living, such as fashion, toys, food, beverages, etc. That was also the KOOK Recipe app's direction.
The card and the screen of a specific recipe for the mobile user interface look mouthwatering. The recipe cards enable photo content to attract maximum attention while appetizing videos set the needed associations and theme on a full recipe screen.
The team preferred the emotional variant of UI. Coming out to the market, the product has to be ultimately attractive. That enables us to collect the feedback and analytics data which can be used as a basis for the next stage of the creative search for solutions enhancing user experience.

Cooking Voice Assistant
The app's cooking assistant feature allows users to control the cooking process with their voice, making it easier to multitask while cooking such as:
Voice commands: Users can use voice commands to search for recipes, add ingredients to a shopping list, and read recipe steps aloud to users.
Voice-controlled cooking: Users can use voice commands to control the cooking process, such as to pause, fast-forward, or rewind a recipe video and steps.
Hands-free cooking: The cooking assistance allows users to keep their hands free while cooking, which is especially useful when working with messy ingredients or handling hot pots and pans.
Accessibility: The cooking assistant makes apps more accessible to users with visual impairments or mobility issues, allowing them to navigate and use the app with ease.
Personalization: The cooking assistant can be used to personalize recipe recommendations based on a user's voice, accent, and even speech patterns, helping users find recipes that they are more likely to enjoy.

During the research phase, we discovered that the majority of people who relocate to orders state to stay find it difficult to prepare their state meals due to difficulties in finding the ingredients needed to cook their state meals. This is extremely frustrating for them.
To defeat that purpose, the store feature is added to the app. which allows users to purchase and sell recipe ingredients and kitchen utensils. They can easily find someone who sells the recipe ingredients around them or a nearby state, allowing the user to buy and cook their desired meal.
Store Feature

Aaron Walter, in his book "Designing for Emotion," compared creating usable interfaces to a chef preparing edible food. While usability is important, it is not enough for an app to succeed in a competitive market. With the proliferation of food and cooking apps, it is crucial for an app to appeal to users' emotional and aesthetic senses from the first interaction. The KOOK App aims to strike a balance between usability and pleasure to engage users and allow them to interact according to their personal preferences. This approach is essential for a successful app in a crowded market.
